  Dear Paul

  I would like to thank you for your help over the past two years when our business was going through a medical crisis.

  When our company came to you when we started in 2006, your knowledge and professionalism helped us to make excellent choices right at the start.

  You encouraged us to put a “Buy / Sell Agreement” in place and to insure not only against death but also against permanent illness or disability. These things are quite often hard to understand and a hard thing to deal with, along with a lack of money in a new business. Should something happen to either of us, we did not want the others spouses to become involved in the business.

  With my business partner being diagnosed with Breast Cancer 2 years ago and her subsequent retirement in May of this year having both the Insurance and the Buy / Sell Agreement in place has enabled me to buy out the retiring partner without long term debt and given the retiring partner a return for her investment in the company which certainly would not have happened without the insurance proceeds. The Buy / Sell Agreement also meant there was no dispute as to what would happen in this event.

  When our initial claim was declined, this was totally unacceptable to you and you proceeded to fight on our behalf, which is what I would expect my broker to do. However, you went way beyond what anyone else would have done and spent countless hours gathering outside knowledge and writing letters to make sure the facts were indisputable culminating in an acceptance of the claim. You kept us well informed and updated throughout the whole process and I greatly appreciate your time and effort and the extra mile you took to make this happen.

  It also gives me great peace of mind that we have transferred our personal policies to you.

  When my husband was diagnosed with cancer in May, 2010 naturally it came as an incredible shock to the family. The emotional impact was devastating but equally devastating was the uncertain financial impact this would have on our lives.

  When we contacted Paul he not only showed us genuine empathy but also handled our Insurance claim with the utmost professionalism. Paul kept us totally informed throughout the remaining months that my husband and I had together.
